Three ways to work
with Hearthen

A weekend for couples, a facilitated meeting for families, or a year of sustained support — each designed for a different kind of household need.

How we work

Every Hearthen session is built on the same approach: a clear structure, a neutral facilitator, rest periods between segments, and something printed that participants take home. The format changes; the principles do not.

1. Enquire

Contact us by form or phone. We respond within one working day and ask a few questions to understand your situation before recommending a session.

2. Confirm a date

We agree on a session date and, where included, schedule the pre-meeting. Full payment is collected before the session. A confirmation with practical details follows.

3. Attend and leave with something

Arrive at Jalan Imbi on the day. Every participant leaves with a printed workbook and a prompt card to continue the conversation at home.

Couples Communication Workshop

A weekend workshop for couples who want a structured opportunity to practise listening, naming, and shared decision-making. Suitable for couples at any stage of relationship who want to practise talking with each other more carefully. No prior experience with workshops or facilitation is needed.

  • Shared naming practice — giving language to things that are hard to say
  • Collaborative decision-making segment
  • Rest and reflection periods between segments

Session 02

Family Mediation Facilitation

A facilitated meeting for two or more family members who want to hold a structured conversation on a shared topic — a household change, an upcoming life event, or a long-standing tension. The facilitator's role is to keep the conversation moving, ensure each voice is heard, and help the family arrive at its own conclusions. The facilitator does not provide legal advice and does not act as a representative for anyone in the room.

The session includes a one-hour pre-meeting with the person requesting facilitation and a written summary of agreements reached, prepared for participants only.

What the session includes

  • One-hour pre-meeting for the requesting person
  • ~3 hours facilitated family conversation
  • Neutral facilitator who ensures each voice is heard
  • Written summary of agreements reached (for participants only)
  • No legal advice — no representation of any party

Two or more adults who share a living situation and need to discuss a shared decision

Session 03 — Membership

Family Communication Year

A twelve-month membership for households who want sustained access to the studio's workshops and facilitator team. Members may attend any public workshop, schedule up to four facilitated family meetings during the year, and receive printed workbooks for each. The membership is educational and facilitative; it does not include legal advice or representation.

Suited to households navigating a year of transitions — a new household member, a relocation, a generational change, or any extended period that calls for more than one structured conversation. Membership covers one household of up to six adults.

What membership includes

  • Attendance at all public workshops for twelve months
  • Up to four facilitated family meetings
  • Printed workbooks for every session attended
  • Up to six adults from one household
  • Priority scheduling for facilitated meetings
Value compared to individual sessions: Four facilitated meetings alone would cost RM 5,840. The annual membership — which also includes all workshops — is RM 2,860, a saving of more than half for households who plan to use the studio regularly throughout the year.
